Callum is feeling downtrodden after his disastrous date with Ben. Stuart tries to cheer his brother up, but Callum realizes Stuart may have tried to interfere with his love life by warning Ben off. Meanwhile Stuart and Callum's dad returns to town and Stuart isn't pleased and warns him to stay away from Callum. Sharon asks Ben about the date and he claims he doesn't have time for romance and doesn't want to be tied down. Ben embarks on some dodgy endeavors with his former cellmate Tubbs. Callum confronts Ben at the car lot and calls him a cowards for his behavior on their date. Ben says he doesn't want to be Callum's guide on his coming out journey. Callum's dad approaches him on the street and Callum lies about the status of his marriage, but later Whitney tells him the truth. Lola tells Callum not to give up on Ben, that the more he likes someone the more he pushes them away. She tells him to be more assertive. At the pub, Callum demands a second date with Ben. Ben agrees, but only if Callum is willing to kiss him in public. Just as he's about to, Callum's dad walks in. Callum comes out to his father and his dad responds with a slew of homophobic slurs, Phil then punches him in the face. Afterwards Ben and Callum share a kiss in front of everyone.
